Philosophy

The British Dancing Academy has been in business for over 45 years and strives to not only instill the love of dance in every student but also teach the fundamentals. While the BDA does not have a competitive dance team or focus on competitions, we turn our attention to teaching the art and love of dance to each student and their capabilities.

The British Dancing Academy is traditional in the technical aspects of each discipline of dance, and we do expect our students to be competitive within themselves. Our exam program is internationally recognized, and our students gain confidence through this special process.

It is very important to our teachers that every student feel successful with their ability, and we encourage personal growth with each step along the way.

We are teaching more than pliés and pirouettes but lessons that will carry each student through many aspects of life.
