Veronica Peters is the Artistic Director of the British Dancing Academy. Growing up as a student in the Academy, she started her dancing career at the age of three under the instruction of her mother (and the BDA’s founder), Miss Sandi Baca.
Her formal training is in Ballet through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and the Royal Academy of Dance. She also has training in Modern, Jazz and Tap.
In addition to her training here at the Academy, she was accepted into the Boston Ballet Summer Program and Cornish Summer Program. Miss Veronica’s first professional experience was as a corps member of Nevada Dance Theater in Las Vegas. She has professionally danced for Wisconsin Ballet Theater, American Festival Ballet, and Northwest Ballet.
After her years of dancing professionally, she started her teaching career with the Academy in 1990 under the direction of Sandi Baca and became Artistic Director in 2014.
“The most wonderful thing about teaching is that I get to do what I love most. And that is to dance. It is an honor and a privilege to pass my knowledge and passion along to my students.”
