Miss Sarah began dancing with the British Dancing Academy at the age of three. She gracefully transitioned from student to teacher and the Academy has been fortunate to have her as a teacher for over 15 years.
As a student, she trained in Ballet, Modern, Tap and Jazz. She furthered her studies through additional training courses as an ISTD teacher in Chichester, England. As a teacher with the BDA, her primary focus is now on the Jazz and Tap sections of the school.
Her Jazz and Tap classes are fun and energetic and she spreads that excitement to her students. Miss Sarah’s Tap program is one of the largest in the Pacific Northwest. She has an incredible knack for choreography and is well known for her dynamic and creative large-scale productions in the BDA’s year end show.
She recently had the opportunity to attend the West Coast Dance Teacher Summit in Long Beach, California and the American Tap Festival in San Diego, California. Having learned from some of the top tap dancers and choreographers in the world and the current true masters of dance, she feels refreshed, inspired, and excited to be in the studio.
Miss Sarah would like her students to know that she’s very passionate about what she does and cares deeply about each and every dancer in their technical training, growing process and love for their overall dancing experience. She will always strive to continue to make her classes a fun experience in rhythmic perfection.
